If you have to update or change the registered mobile number in your 12-digit Aadhaar, you can generate an online application form for this. Then you have to go to the base center.

You know the importance of Aadhaar as a document. In view of this, always keep trying that your base is always updated. This will facilitate you only. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has provided the facility to update Aadhaar, which you can update if needed. If you have to update or change the registered mobile number in your 12-digit Aadhaar, you can generate an online application form for this. Then you have to go to the base center.

How to generate a form through OTP

For this, you should visit UIDAI website https://ask.uidai.gov.in/

Login to the open page on the opened website, through your mobile number and captcha

After login, check the details and then click on 'Send OTP'

After doing this, OTP will come on your mobile number. Enter this OTP in the box on the right and click submit OTP and process.

Now you will have a new page in front of you, on which you will see the Aadhaar service. Click on update Aadhar here.

After this, a new page will open in which you will see different options like Name, Aadhar Number, Resident Type and what do you want to update.

Now that you have to link the mobile number with Aadhaar, you first fill all the required details and then select 'Mobile Number' under the 'what do you want to update' section. Then click on proceed.

After this, the new page opened will demand a mobile number captcha from you. Fill all the boxes here and click on 'Send OTP'. After doing this, enter Receive OTP on mobile and verify and then click on 'Save and Proceed'.

After this, thoroughly check all the details for the last time and click on Submit. After this, you will have a Success Screen with your appointment ID in front of you.

After this, click on the 'Book Appointment' option so that one of your slots is booked at the base center. After this, you have to pay a fee of Rs 25 by visiting the Aadhaar center. After this your number gets updated.

Please tell that you can also update the mobile number by going to the direct Aadhaar center. Here, you have to fill a form and give it. You also have to pay a fee. UIDAI has not given permission to change mobile number online due to security reasons.
